UK housing prices increased 1.7 pct in June - data

LONDON, Aug 16 (KUNA) -- UK housing prices rose by 1.7 in the 12 months to June 2023, taking the average up to GBP 288,000 (approx. USD 376,500), official data showed on Wednesday.

The UK's land registry mentioned in a statement that house prices in London, on the other hand, fell back slightly by 0.6 percent compared to May, taking the average to GBP 528,000 (approx. USD 674,000).
The statement also explained that the average price of detached property or villas in the capital decreased by one percent to reach by the end of June GBP 1,068,000 (approx. more than USD 1.36 million).
