Preparations to launch "Sahel Lab" to develop Gov't e-services

KUWAIT, Oct 25 (KUNA) -- Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Communications Affairs Fahad Al-Shuala said Wednesday that there are plans to develop "Sahel" application through preparations to launch "Sahel Lab", a testing space to receive ideas, experiences, and suggestions that would develop the quality of electronic services.

In a statement to KUNA, following the meeting of the Ministerial Coordination Committee supervising "Sahel" and "Sahel Business" applications, the Minister stressed importance of proceeding with plans to develop the application to achieve users aspirations, by providing more electronic services that citizens and business owners need and through strengthening the cooperation of government agencies.
The government digital applications, channels and platforms are considered an essential tool in achieving digital development in the modern state and represent an important part in improving the quality of services provided to citizens, residents, business owners and entrepreneurs, Al-Shulaa said.
The government is very interested to reach the best possible means of simplifying the administrative procedures for government services to be available easily and effectively, he added.
The committee seeks, through its meetings, to follow up on the steps and procedures that are being taken to achieve the state's development vision, which confirms the serious desire of government leaders to develop plans in this aspect.
Al-Shulaa praised the efforts of government agencies in enhancing cooperation regarding the development of these national projects in order to achieve the well-being that the Council of Ministers seeks for the Kuwaiti citizen. (end) smr.sam.
