Mezzan Holding Co. posts KD 6.1 mln in Q1 profits

KUWAIT, May 8 (KUNA) -- Mezzan Holding Company announced on Monday profits of KD 6.1 million in the first quarter of this year, 57 percent over the same period last year.

Mezzan Holding Vice Chairman Mohammad Al Wazzan said in a press release that the company was able to adapt to the market changing conditions and supply chains challenges, with revenues amounting KD 79 million in the first quarter of 2023, an increase of 8.9 percent over the first quarter of 2022.
He added that the first quarter witnessed a remarkable improvement in the company's performance, as its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITD) increased by KD 8.3 million.
Mezzan Holding, established in 1940, is one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of food, beverage, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and pharmaceutical products in the Gulf, operating in six regional countries with more than 8,800 employees.
