GCC chief underlines benefiting from Gulf achievements, bolstering joint work

RIYADH, April 5 (KUNA) -- Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary General Jasem Al-Budaiwi affirmed Wednesday importance of benefiting from Gulf achievements according to the stipulations of the economic agreement and underlined the necessity of bolstering joint Gulf work.

The secretariat mentioned in a statement that this came during Al-Budaiwi's meeting with Dr. Raja' Al-Marzouqi on occasion of appointment as negotiations general coordinator and head of GCC negotiations team.
The meeting, held at the secretariat's headquarters in Riyadh, handled the central role of Gulf countries as economic dynamos due to strategic partnerships, free trade talks with a number of countries, and regional and international economic blocs, as well as the accelerated pace of growth and economic integration achieved through plans and visions.
Al-Budaiwi congratulated Al-Marzouqi for this esteemed position, wishing him success in his future endeavors, and assigned missions of achieving the aspirations of the people.
In another meeting with General Director of the executive office of Gulf ministers of labor and social affairs', Dr. Amer Al-Hajari, Al-Budaiwi highlighted the active role of the office in achieving the joint Gulf cooperation in field of labor and social affairs.
The meeting examined the role of the office and its tireless efforts in conducting studies and research serving Gulf citizens in fields of labor, manpower and social affairs. (end) dm.aai.
